ABOUT US

KAJA Organization for Peace and Development (KPD) is a non-governmental, non-profit and nonpartisan Organization, committed to promoting peace, stability, and inclusive development in conflict-affected and post-conflict regions. KAJA was established in Oct 2023 and worked under the umbrella of the (Sudanese Network for Development and Democracy (SNDD) founded by a group Sudanese Civil society Organization and individual Human Rights activist, to address the devastation caused by the on-going armed conflicts in Sudan which resulted in creating one of the biggest internally displaced population
and Refugees crises in the world as reported by UN agencies and international Organization during
the year 2024 and 2025.
KAJA works to rebuild trust, heal divisions, and lay the foundation for lasting peace and recovery, in
areas where violence has torn apart the social fabric, KAJA focuses on conflict transformation,
reconciliation, and community resilience.
We facilitate dialogue between divided groups, support local peace processes and helps
communities to address trauma and rebuild relationships. At the same time, we implement
development programs that restore basic services, improve livelihoods, and create opportunities for
youth, women, and other vulnerable populations.
In the post-conflict phase, KAJA plays a critical role in rebuilding institutions, strengthening civil
society, and promoting accountable governance, by integrating peace building with sustainable
development, we aim to prevent the recurrence of violence and ensure that recovery is inclusive,
justice, and locally owned.
KAJA works hand-in-hand with communities, national stakeholders, and international partners to
ensure that peace is not only achieved but sustained—turning the pain of conflict into a platform for
renewal, dignity, and hope.
Operating at the grassroots, national, and international levels, KAJA collaborates with civil society,
government bodies, and international partners to promote human rights, good governance, social
cohesion, and economic resilience. By integrating peace building with development initiatives, KAJA
aims to create a stable and just environment where all people—especially marginalized and
vulnerable populations—can live in dignity and reach their full potential.
